Hey, guys. Kevin here with etrailer. And today, we'll be showing you how to install the CURT custom fifth wheel base rail kit here on our 2010 Ford F-250. Our base rails here are gonna have a nice carbide finish on it, which is gonna go nicely with another CURT hitch, just like our CrossWing that we have in here today. The brackets themselves are gonna come with all the hardware you need and are a custom fit for this specific year, make, and model. So it gives you a little bit easier of an install versus a universal kit where you'd have to sit there and really drill a bunch of holes into the frame. more

Hi there, Chevy owners. Today, on your 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's base rails. And this is what our base rails look like when they're installed. You can see that they sit above the bed, but they really don't stick up very high, about an inch above the top part of your higher corrugation there. And they are fairly smooth, so I do prefer base rails that are like this where all the bolts are carriage bolts and they're down in the lower section. That way, things are still smooth on top here. more

Demco Recon Underbed 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Installation - 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Curt under-bed gooseneck kit with the ability to use the demco recon for fifth wheel adapter on a 2013 F250 Super Duty. Now, it has all the same features of your normal gooseneck kit, but if you pick up the Demco Recon and plan on doing a gooseneck or a fifth wheel, you're gonna have that adapter and be able to hook up to both of them. Great part about this kit is it does actually come with the ball included so you'll be ready to use your gooseneck right away without having to pick up that recon. Now, this gooseneck kit is rated at 30000 pounds and it's got a vertical limit of 7500, so this is gonna be pretty heavy duty. So, whatever you're be pulling with your gooseneck this should hold up to it. Now, you're gonna wanna check to see what your vehicle's capable before just hooking up to anything. more

And the great part about this kit is the fact that it does come with the ball, so when you need it to be a gooseneck, no problem, the ball goes into place. And when you're not using that or the fifth wheel, no problem, store it upside down and it's gonna stay there completely flush and you'll have it ready for next time. But if you plan on using a fifth wheel, you can actually plug in the Companion fifth wheel from B&W in here and you'll have a fifth wheel. So, you have a lot of versatility. more

Now, many trucks nowadays are coming equipped with factory installed puck systems in your truck bed to allow you to install a fifth wheel hitch for towing, and then easily remove the hitch when you're not towing. Fifth Wheel Base Rail Kit Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500- Video
Hi there Chevy owners, and here 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. We're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Reese's fifth wheel rail kit. And this is what our rail kit looks like when it's installed, it is gonna sit above the bed of your truck, but it is fairly flat, so it doesn't really take up too much of the room here in the bed of your truck. It will allow you to hook up a fifth wheel to the back here, and it does have multiple slots, so it should work with many different manufacturers, fifth wheels, but we do have a recent here today, and if you're going with a reset of rails, it makes sense to go with a Reese hitch, 'cause oftentimes when you stick with the same manufacturer the parts tend to fit a little better. That being said, the best fit I found here at etrailer, of our Reese is gonna be the BMW fifth wheel hitch and rails, and those ones just assembled together quite a bit easier, the machining on those is very top-notch, so if you're wanting something that is very high quality, I'd recommend that, but if you're just looking to get a set a fifth wheel in your truck, and you've got a Chevy Silverado, the Reese kit here does accomplish that for you, it's a semi custom fit kit, because it is custom fit for Chevy Silverados, but it does encompass a very large range of trucks, so you are gonna get a lot of extra hardware in this kit, that you're not gonna use, because it covers such a large range of Silverados. So just take your time and filter it through your hardware, definitely pay attention to your instructions, there's a pretty big monster of a booklet there, because there's so many variations between the years and all the hardware that you get, but if you wanna follow along with us, we'll show you how to get these rails installed, you get your side plates as well with the kit, that keeps everything clamped tightly to our frame and to our bed here, giving us that option to add that fifth wheel. more

Hi there, Ford owners. Today on your 2020 Ford F-250 Super Duty, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Reese's Under-Bed Rail Kit for both 5th wheels and goosenecks. And this is what our hitch rail system looks like when it's installed. You can see here, we've got our gooseneck hole in the center as well as a puck system that's very similar to a factory set up for a 5th wheel to drop in. This is gonna be probably the best setup here if you don't have a factory setup 'cause you can easily drop in your 5th wheels without having to install like an over the bed rail kit or something like that. They just drop right down into these pucks, making it quick and easy to get those in place. more

Now this is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2015 and newer Ford F150 trucks and it will work on all bed sizes and I do recommend on a custom fit product is to go to our website and use the fit guide and put in your year model vehicle and it'll show if this will work for application. Now the installation kit, this will let you mount your fifth wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your truck. The mounting brackets right here is what will install beneath the truck bed and then they provide the attaching points for these above bed base rails. The custom fit brackets right over here, they'll mount to existing holes in your vehicles frame. more

Hey everyone, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Trailer Hitch here on a 2019 Ford F-150. So if we come inside to the driver wheel well here, you can see we have our release handle. So this is what's gonna secure the hitch ball in the truck bed or the companion, if that's what we're gonna be using. So there's gonna be two different positions. You have the locked position, which is like so, and then if we pull it out and then rotate it slightly, that's gonna be the unlocked position. So when it's unlocked, we can remove the hitch ball, flip it around, do as we need, and then just simply lock it, whether we're towing or putting it back in the stow position, we'll just simply release it like so. more

This is what our base rail kit looks like when it's installed. The rails are installed above the bed here. The brackets that come included with it that go on the side of the frame, that our rails attached to. Our custom fit for our F-250 here so that does help simplify the installation giving us a solid point that is easy to install on the frame of our truck to get our base rails installed. more

Not only are these gonna be compatible with your BMW fifth wheel hitches but they're also gonna be compatible with some of the gooseneck adapters and what the new neck adapters are. It's a plate that fits right over the top and has feet that slide down inside and get pinned in and it has a gooseneck ball on it. So you really have availabilities for not only pulling a fifth goal, but also pulling a gooseneck, if you need one. These are gonna be a very durable steel construction with a gray powder coat finish. more
